INTERNALISASI NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER ISLAMI PADA GENERASI Z UNTUK TERHINDAR DARI PERILAKU HEDONISME GLOBAL

Abstract

Generation Z faces the growing threat of hedonistic ideology driven by globalization. The influx of excessive liberal values can influence their mindset and behavior, distancing them from the noble teachings of religion. This issue poses a significant challenge in shaping Islamic character among young people, as many tend to prioritize worldly pleasures over spiritual and afterlife-oriented goals.This article aims to analyze the impact of hedonistic ideology on Generation Z and identify strategies for implementing Islamic character to counter these influences amid the pressures of globalization. Additionally, the study seeks to explore the role of religious education and family in developing strong character capable of addressing these challenges.This research employs a qualitative approach using literature review and in-depth interviews with religious educators and education practitioners. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify effective solutions. The findings reveal that the influence of hedonistic ideology on Generation Z is considerable, particularly through social media and popular culture. The implementation of Islamic character through intensive religious education and the strengthening of moral values is essential to protect young people from these negative influences. Furthermore, the active involvement of the Muslim community in creating positive and educational da'wah media is crucial in responding to this issue.
